Cub/Adult Weekends

A few times each year the Council holds a Cub/Adult weekend where all registered Cub Scouts are
allowed to bring one adult camping with them for a fun filled weekend. Each event has a different theme
and although most of the activeties are the same, there are others that are chosen just for the theme.

The Cub/Adult Weekend that was held on June 13-14, 1998 had a Wildwest theme to it.
From our pack Tony (Bear) and his mom Nadine were the only ones to attend this campout.
The activeties included:
Games; water balloon toss, roping a wild box-steer (a cardboard box with antlers), and hobo relay,
archery and bb shooting,
leather stamping, crafts (making a neckerchief slide)
and swimming.
Due to the heat wave in Florida causing wildfires,
the evening campfire was canceled and the boys all got together and put on different skits for everyone.

We are still waiting for the photos from the trip to be developed.

The Cub/Adult Weekend that was held on January 17-18, 1998 had a Hawaiian theme to it.
From our pack we had 3 boys and their moms attend this campout together.
Jimmy (second year Webelo) and his mom Polly,
Travis (second year Webelo) and his mom Gay,
and Tony (Wolf) and his mom Nadine
all camped out together.
The activeties included:
archery and bb shooting,
crafts and games,
and making a hawaiian walking stick.
At the evening campfire they saw a dance group demonstrate different island dances.
Although it was a bit cold, they did have their problems with the racoons but no one went home sick.

Here are a few of the photos that were taken during the campout
